Adult Day Services Revitalization Initiative Project Launch Events

Throughout the month of February, five regional events are set to take place to promote adult day services (ADS) across Ohio. ADS providers, referral sources (e.g. case managers and discharge planners), and others working in aging services are encouraged to attend. Whether you are unfamiliar with ADS and simply eager to learn more or are a provider, attending an event will benefit anyone interested in the revitalization of ADS.

These events aim to connect ADS providers with referral sources in their area. It is an opportunity for those who work in any area of aging services to learn how impactful ADS can be.

For those who are not familiar with ADS, events will serve as an educational opportunity to learn more about these services and how meaningful they can be for older adults in the community. Resources will be available for referral sources including a directory of ADS, educational one pagers to further inform staff, and ready-to-print materials to give potential ADS attendees and their care partners.

ADS providers will receive a toolkit containing customizable marketing pieces, resources for outreach strategies, and more. Findings from the Scripps Gerontology Center’s ADS in Ohio project will be shared as well. This study collected data from ADS providers throughout Ohio to understand the landscape of adult day services.
